Dear Friends, 

For the past 5 months, I’ve had the great honor of working with an incredible group of people and the beautiful community in Williamson, WV, the heart of coal country. Together, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the work they are doing to diversify their economy, create jobs, and build sustainability throughout the region of central Appalachia.

As I’ve watched the news, followed the elections, and seen the plans of our government, one thing has been prevalent all throughout: creating jobs, opportunity, and a plan for a brighter future.

But I know that government is not the solution to our problems in this country; they are not the answer to building our economy, creating jobs, or creating new opportunity for the people who live here.

A grassroots, bottom-up, free market, community collaboration is what we need to create a sustainable economy & provide opportunity for the people of America. 

Sustainable Williamson is doing just that.

We grew up here, built our lives here, worked in the mines here, got married and had a family here. Coal country is where we live. This is Who We Are. Support us.
